A 42-year-old Florida woman has been charged with murder months after a boy was found dead in her home, police say.
Around noon on Sept. 15, officers responded to a call in regards to an unresponsive juvenile in Weston, Florida, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.
Officials responded and said the victim was pronounced dead on the scene. The victim’s body was sent to the Broward Medical Examiner’s Officer for an autopsy, police said.
During an investigation of the home, officials said the child suffered from a medical condition that caused the child to be bedridden and he appeared to be underweight with rashes and bedsores.
