Murder suspect wanted to kill a witness so he asked two relatives to hire a hitman: cops
While behind bars, a murder suspect tried to arrange the killing of a witness and now he and two other people have been charged in connection to the alleged plot.
According to the Starke Police Department in Florida, officers received information that inmate Demetrius Wilson was planning to kill a witness set to testify against him. Wilson was in jail for his alleged involvement in a July 2020 murder.
Wilson wanted two family members — Valerie and N’Crisha McCutchen — to hire a possible hitman living in Orlando, according to Starke police.
State investigators and prosecutors joined in the investigation.
