He had a friend who was the victim of an assault, so he went and murdered the suspected attacker, police said
A Florida man is accused of shooting a person to death in retaliation for a previous assault, police said.
On Jan. 18, deputies from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office in Florida responded to an area of Cocoa, Florida, after a 911 call. The caller said a person had been shot, according to the sheriff’s office.
When deputies arrived, they found Anthony Greenwood shot, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators determined that the shooting happened as retaliation for a prior incident where Greenwood battered a friend of Kendall Britt.
Detectives got an arrest warrant for Britt and he was charged this week. Britt was already in jail on an unrelated burglary case, and now faces a first-degree murder charge.
He is being held without bond.
