Duo killed a person in retribution days after he was cleared in another homicide, cops say
A man was cleared in a justifiable homicide and, days later, was found dead. Now, police said they arrested two people for the alleged retribution killing.
On June 5, Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a block in the Ocala, Florida area where they found a victim who had been shot. The victim was identified a Kobe Bradshaw and he was taken to the hospital, where he died.
Detectives investigated for several months and learned that murder was retaliation against Bradshaw, according to the sheriff’s office.
Bradshaw, days before the killing, was cleared of wrongdoing in another homicide. Police said that victim was a friend of Brandon Jordan Merizier and Ralph Fontil.
Both Merizier and Fontil were arrested on Nov. 9 in connection to Bradshaw’s murder. Merizier is 17-year-old but is being charged as an adult.
The two suspects were charged with second-degree murder.
