Argument over a piece of property in Florida ends with one dead and another arrested: cops
Two people got into a dispute over a piece of land, and it ended with one person dead and another facing a criminal charge, police said.
On March 9, Michael Wojcik, 62, and Willie Vinning, 61, got into an argument over a piece of property, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office in Florida. Neither man owned the property, but it was in their neighborhood.
After the argument, Wojcik walked home and called police.
He then armed himself with a gun and walked backed to the property around 1:30 p.m., according to the sheriff’s office. There, Wojcik and Vinning got into another argument.
Wojcik then shot Vinning before police arrived, authorities said. Vinning was taken to the hospital, where he died.
Wojcik was arrested and charged with second-degree felony manslaughter. He is being held in the Putnam County jail without bond.
