Man kicked a puppy and threw it over a wall at the beach because the pup ate food, cops say
A man kicked a puppy on the beach and said it was because the pup ate food that did not belong to him, according to police.
On March 14, police in Clearwater, Florida, arrested Noah Counts, 20, in connection to the case.
Multiple witnesses said they saw Counts kick a 3-month-old puppy in the face, drag it by a leash and throw it over the wall, according to Clearwater police.
Counts should not have had the dog on the beach to start because city ordinances do not allow it, according to police. Officers also found a Charcoal grill, which is also illegal. There were also open containers of alcohol.
Counts told an officer he was upset with the dog because the puppy was eating food that did not belong to him.
Officers charged Counts with animal cruelty, and he was booked into jail.
