A shooting at a Florida nightclub left one person dead. More than four years later, police say they have arrested a suspect in the case.
Last week, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office in Florida announced the arrest of Demetrius Gabriel in connection to the killing.
Around 2 a.m. on Dec. 15, 2017, deputies responded to the Spot 26 nightclub after an altercation happened outside, according to the sheriff’s office. A suspect fired two shots into the entrance of the club.
Jarvis Isom Jr. was shot in the head. He was taken to the hospital, where he died, according to the sheriff’s office noted.
Gabriel was identified as a suspect in the days after the shooting but wasn’t arrested until years later during a traffic stop in Miami.
Investigators did not detail what led to the altercation.
