72-year-old suspect claimed he killed out of anger and blood pressure complications, report says
A 72-year-old man is accused of shooting and killing a woman in Florida, according to a report.
Frankie Wilson was charged with second-degree murder in connection to the killing of a 64-year-old woman on March 22, according to WEAR. The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office described the situation as a domestic-violence incident.
The shooting happened in McDavid, Florida, according to WEAR.
Deputies arrived to find the victim dead from a gunshot wound and Wilson standing in the front yard, according to an arrest report obtained by WEAR.
Wilson told deputies he snapped and shot the anger out of complications with his blood pressure, according to the report. Witnesses said they arrived at the home to find the victim dead in the kitchen.
Wilson claimed the woman attacked him with a butter knife days before the shooting, according to WEAR.
Police arrested Wilson and he is being held in Escambia County jail.
