A Florida man stabbed a houseguest in the neck multiple times, and now police say he faces a charge of attempted first-degree murder.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, Christopher Baird, 42, also faces charges of domestic battery and tampering with a witness after the early morning attack on June 20.
Before stabbing the 32-year-old guest, Baird punched his girlfriend in the face, The Palm Beach Post reported.
The stabbing victim is a man, but has not been identified, police said.
He has been hospitalized in critical but stable condition, according to authorities.
Baird has been arrested before as he was charged with aggravated battery on an elderly person in 2020 after his mother said he went on a rampage in her Lantana home, officials said.
The felony charge against Baird was later reduced to a misdemeanor count of domestic battery, police said.
However, that charge was dismissed by state prosecutors, authorities said.
