A Florida teenager has been charged with attempted murder after he allegedly attacked a teacher with a pair of scissors, according to authorities.
Around 9 a.m. on Sept. 12, the 14-year-old boy reportedly assaulted a teacher at Bright Horizons School, a special needs institution in Deerfield Beach, WPLG reported.
Because of the suspect’s age, his identity has been withheld given that he currently faces juvenile charges.
According to court documents, the ninth grader, described as 6 feet tall and weighing 300 pounds, reportedly stabbed the teacher in the neck during the attack.
Sources claim this same teenager has been previously accused of a similar attack on another teacher in recent years, WPLG reported.
A hearing was held and a judge determined probable cause for the attempted murder charge, WPLG reported.
