A 16-year-old stabbed his 57-year-old grandmother to death in Florida and now faces a murder charge, according to a report.
On Sept. 7, police in Rockledge, Florida, responded to a home, according to Fox 35. Jaylin Christian, 16, texted authorities to say he killed his grandmother.
Police said after he allegedly killed his grandmother, Christian packed up his belongings, stole money and headed towards Cocoa, Florida, before texting authorities.
When they asked him how many times he stabbed her, Christian said “too many to count,” according to the report.
Officers arrived at the home and found Muriel Ladonna Emerson, 57, dead in the kitchen with stab wounds, according to Fox 35. Evidence showed the attack was planned.
She was an investigator with the Florida Commission on Offender Review and was close to retirement, officials said.
Christian was charged with first-degree murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
