Town in terror: police apprehend Georgia man accused of crime spree that included murder, home invasion, bank robbery
A Georgia man is in custody in connection to a violent crime spree between November and January that included home invasion, armed robbery and murder, authorities said.
On Feb. 7, multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Houston County Sheriff's Office, the Warner Robins Police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, took 30-year-old Victor Casey Dennard into custody, WGXA reported.
According to officials, on Nov. 22, Dennard was allegedly responsible for a home invasion in Warner Robins.
Dennard then allegedly shot a bank teller while robbing the Robins Financial Credit Union a short time later, according to WGXA.
On Jan. 18, the Houston County Sheriff's Office said, Denner and two other suspects allegedly were involved in an armed robbery at J&J Dollar Store in the same town. During the incident,store clerk Sabrina Renee Dollar, 43, was hit in the head with a gun and fatally shot in the chest, WMGT reported.
For the November home invasion, Denner faces charges including aggravated assault, and theft by taking a motor vehicle.
He was charged in connection to the bank incident with armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
For the deadly shooting last month, he was charged with murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
