Georgia man demanded exuberant fee from elderly victim while doing yard work, now face charges: report

A Georgia man has been arrested in Alabama after he allegedly financially exploited an elderly person while performing yard work for them.
On Jan. 14, police arrested Elijahwon Keonte Rolax, 23, and charged him with second-degree financial exploitation of the elderly, CBS 42 reported.
On Nov. 24, 2021, officers met with a victim who reported a man performing a minor residential landscaping task for them, according to CBS 42.
The victim, who is over 60 years old, said the man used undue influence to force them to pay an exorbitant fee for the service, CBS 42 reported. The police did not reveal how much Rolax allegedly charged.
Rolax has been arrested, according to CBS 42.
He was transported to the Lee County Jail and held on a $5,000 bond, CBS 42 reported.
