A 16-year-old fast-food worker in Georgia was sexually assaulted while working, and police charged her manager in connection to the rape.
On June 28, officials said the 16-year-old Bojangles employee was instructed by her supervisor, Nicholas Gervond McLamore, 31, to clean the restaurants’ bathrooms around 9:30 p.m., according to a report obtained by News Channel 6.
The restaurant’s website states the Richmond County eatery is closed to customers at 9 p.m. every night.
The teenager was cleaning an individual stall in the men’s restroom when McLamore came into the bathroom, locked the door, began kissing her and pulling at her clothing, authorities said.
The employee asked him to stop, which he did, police said, according to the report.
However, McLamore and the teen went back to the bathrooms around 9:45 p.m. to check her work, but she stayed by the door, propping it open because she did not want to be alone with McLamore, officials said.
News Channel 6 reported McLamore closed the door himself and proceeded to rape her.
The following day McLamore was arrested and faces a felony charge of strongarm rape, authorities said.
McLamore is currently in the Charles B. Webster Detention Center, and bond has not been set in his case.
