Man Shot Dead At A Georgia Motel, Suspect Turned Herself In Days Later: Cops
Days after a shooting at a motel left one person dead, a woman was arrested and accused of murder.
Around 9:10 p.m. on April 2, police responded to a motel in Hahira, Georgia. Police had initially responded to a shots fired call in a guest room, authorities then later called for state investigators to help, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
A man was found dead in the room, authorities said. The victim was later identified as Daron Roberto Williams, 51, according to Hahira police.
Officials asked for the public’s help in finding Davisha Johnson, who was suspected of the killing.
Investigators say Johnson had known Williams for years before the shooting.
This week, Johnson surrendered to law enforcement and charged with felony murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Investigators have not said what led to the shooting.
