Georgia mother accused of murdering 4-year-old son after remains were found: police

A Georgia woman has been arrested after she allegedly killed her 4-year-old son.
Police have found remains that could be tied to the case, but have yet to be identified.
Around 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 22, the Vienna Police Department asked for investigative assistance to locate 4-year-old Jayceion Mathis, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
Jayceion Mathis was reported missing by family members who said they had not seen him in several months, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
Cops determined that Jayceion Mathis lived with his mother, Keara Cotton, 27.

Cotton has been arrested and charged with murder, concealing the death of another and second-degree cruelty to children, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
Investigators obtained information that led to the discovery of human remains in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia, near East 16th Avenue, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
Agents will send the remains to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Medical Examiner’s Office for identification.
