A woman in Georgia has been arrested after law enforcement officials say she allegedly starved her 1-year-old son to death.

According to arrest warrants obtained by WXIA, Alice Davis failed to get medical attention for her son, who was extremely ill and diagnosed with peripheral pulmonic stenosis.

The Mayo Clinic states peripheral pulmonic stenosis is a condition in which there is a “narrowing of the valve between the lower right heart chamber and the lung arteries.” This then reduces blood flow through the valve.

Authorities alleged that Davis hid her son’s death for more than a week before she alerted law enforcement.
