Man Shot, Killed At Georgia General Mills Plant, Suspect Now Faces Charges
A man is dead and another person faces murder charges after a shooting at a food plant in Georgia, according to reports.
Around 2 p.m. on May 29, Jalen Ivan Brown was arrested by police in connection to the shooting at the General Mills plant in Newton County, Georgia, according to WSB-TV.
A witness said Brown was confronted by an employee who said he was showing strange behavior, according to WSB-TV. That is when Brown shot and killed the victim.
The name of the victim has not been released.
"Our Covington, GA facility reported a shooting incident (Sunday)," said Mollie Wulff, a spokesperson for General Mills, told Fox 5. "Law enforcement apprehended the individual. We are working with local law enforcement."
Brown was a General Mills employee. He faces charges of aggravated assault and murder.
