A man is accused of killing his friend during a drunken argument, police said.
This week, the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia arrested David Ayers May, 47, in connection to the case.
Around 1:15 a.m., deputies responded to a shooting at a home in Georgia.
Investigators determined there was a group present and drinking at the home. Then, an argument started between May and Dane Michael Patrick Kellum, 38.
The argument grew more heated, and May went and got a pistol, according to the sheriff’s office. He then shot Kellum in the head.
Deputies responded to the scene and got May out of the home without incident. The victim was found dead inside.
May was charged with murder and aggravated assault. He is being held in jail without bond.
