Police say a road rage driver in Georgia has been arrested after he allegedly beat up a teen, left him unconscious and threatened to sexually assault his 15-year-old sister.
On Feb. 28, an officer responded to an area in the Sugar Hill area in reference to a possible assault, according to the Gwinnett County Police.
Once at the scene, the 18-year-old victim told police he was driving with his 15-year-old sister in the passenger seat when he and another motorist, 57-year-old Duane Sudderth, “exchanged hand gestures.”
Sudderth then reportedly started driving behind the teen and allegedly tried to run him off the road.
The teen told police that he drove onto a private driveway when Sudderth pulled behind him and parked, then exited his truck and “began to punch him repeatedly in the face through the window.”
During that altercation, police said, Sudderth allegedly threatened to sexually assault the victim’s “girlfriend,” who was actually his teen sister.
The teen got out of the car and Sudderth continued to beat him until he eventually lost consciousness. The teenager called police when he woke up.
Officials were able to use a Flock Safety camera system to help identify Sudderth as the owner of the blue pickup truck.
