A 59-year-old woman was gunned down as she drove along a Georgia parkway. Police say they have just arrested one of the men responsible.
On Oct. 10, deputies from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia responded to a homicide on Eisenhower Parkway. The incident was reported around 1:15 a.m., according to the sheriff’s office.
Harriet Patrick, 59, was struck by gunfire in her vehicle as she was driving, according to the sheriff’s office.
Patrick was transported to a hospital but died 10 days later.
Police investigated and determined Quteavis Quayshon Simmons, 30, was a suspect in the shooting.
Simmons met with investigators this week. After the meeting, he was arrested and charged with murder. He is being held without bond in the Bibb County jail.
Police have not released a motive for the shooting.
The investigation is ongoing, and police say additional arrests are pending.
