Teen in Georgia accused of killing his mom, charged with murder
A teen is accused of shooting his mother to death in Georgia.
Police from Warner Robins, Georgia, responded to a home on Adirondac Way around 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 13 for a reported shooting. Officers were told that 911 dispatchers were on the phone with the suspect.
Authorities found the suspect, a 13-year-old, on a block near the shooting. The name of the suspect was not released.
When police reached the home, they found 37-year-old Dominique Bowers dead in the home, according to Warner Robins police. She died from a gunshot wound, and police say Bowers is the teenage suspect’s mother.
The teen was charged with murder and aggravated assault. The suspect is being held in the Crisp County Youth Detention Center.
