A teenager was shot dead at a Georgia home and police say a fellow teen now faces murder charges.
This week, the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia announced the arrest of Carson Nathanial Kennedy, 17.
Around 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 24, a 911 caller said there was an assault where a person shot at a subdivision in Dallas, Georgia, according to the sheriff’s office.
When deputies arrived, they learned a suspect fled in a vehicle. They also found a victim in the loft apartment of the detached garage. The victim had been shot in the chest.
The 17-year-old victim was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries, deputies said.
Police identified the suspect as Kennedy and he was arrested in the following days.
Investigators admit they have not been able to determine what led to the shooting or a motive in the case.
Kennedy has been charged with murder and authorities said they anticipate more charges.
