A former beauty queen has been arrested after allegedly plotting with two others, including her lover, to kill her estranged husband, according to authorities.
In late July, 36-year-old Lindsay Shiver, 28-year-old Terrance Bethel and 29-year-old Faron Newbold were arrested after police investigating a crime at a bar in Guana Cay found WhatsApp messages that allegedly outlined a plan to kill Robert Shiver, Lindsay’s husband, according to Bahamas Court News.
Authorities said Bethel is reportedly the man with whom Lindsay was allegedly having an affair with.
On July 16, Lindsay, Bethel and Newbold were together at Abaco when they agreed to commit an offense, “namely the murder of [Robert] Shiver,” the Thomasville Times-Enterprise reported.
The Shivers own a home in the Bahamas, which is how Lindsay reportedly struck up a relationship with Bethel. Once Robert learned of the affair, he filed for divorce.
Robert cited his wife’s “adulterous conduct” as grounds for separation, CNN reported. In her divorce filing, Lindsay said she “incurred debt beyond her means to pay” and requested her husband pay.
