A Georgia woman who police say killed her husband by poisoning him is behind bars, according to WCTV.
Torrii Fredrick Robinson, 43, was taken to the Thomas County Jail on Nov. 28 aftera 14-month investigation into her husband's death. She is charged with malice murder in connection to the September 2021 death of Phillip Fredrick.
Officers were called to the home when Phillip Fredrick died in 2021. The Thomas County Sheriff's Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation were on the case and determined that he'd been poisoned.
“After an autopsy, it was determined that ethylene glycol was found in Mr. Fredrick’s system,” Captain Tim Watkins with TCSO told WCTV.
Authorities began investigating and doing interviews for more than a year before determining that Torrii Fredrick Robinson was responsible for the death, WCTV reported.
“Ethylene glycol is commonly found in antifreeze and other things like brake fluid,” Watkins said.
According to WCTV, Watkins said he was unable to share how the poison got into the man's system.
Fredrick Robinson is also being charged with felony murder, aggravated assault and theft by taking.
