Alabama Woman Allegedly Shot Her Boyfriend To Death During Fight, Police Say
An Alabama woman allegedly murdered her boyfriend after the couple got into a fight, authorities said.
Around 3:45 a.m. on Dec. 18, the Anniston Police Department responded to a home after receiving a report of a shooting.
“When they arrived, they found a male inside the residence suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound,” police said, noting the victim, identified as Jacoby D. White, 24, died in transit to an area hospital.
At the scene of the deadly incident, officers took the suspected shooter, Jada Cook, 19, into custody, police said.
During the course of the investigation, detectives "discovered the victim and suspect were in a dating relationship” and “there was an argument between the suspect and victim just before the shooting occurred,” according to police.
Cook faces charges of domestic violence – murder. She was booked into the Calhoun County jail on a $250,000 bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
