Are Aliens Already Covertly Living on Earth? Harvard Researchers Identify Possible Secret UFO Base Sites

Scientists from Harvard and the University of Montana might be on the verge of unraveling a UFO mystery, proposing that an alien civilization has been hiding on Earth all along.

In their research, the scientists suggest that UFOs frequently visit our planet because they are based here in "secret bases," according to Knewz.com.

Harvard University's T.H. Chan School of Public Health psychologist Tim Lomas, Harvard's Institute for Quantitative Social Science associate director Brendan Case and Dr. Michael Paul Masters of the University of Montana theorize that a technologically advanced population is covertly living on Earth.

The researchers have termed this hypothetical advanced race "Cryptoterrestrials," suggesting they might be responsible for “unidentified anomalous phenomena” (UAP) and UFO sightings, as well as other unexplained occurrences over the years.

Lomas, Case and Dr. Masters detailed their theory in a paper titled "The Cryptoterrestrial Hypothesis: A Case for Scientific Openness to a Concealed Earthly Explanation for Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena."

The paper states, "Hypotheses for such phenomena tend to fall into two classes: a conventional terrestrial explanation (e.g., human-made technology), or an extraterrestrial explanation (i.e., advanced civilizations from elsewhere in the cosmos). However, there is also a third minority class of hypothesis."

This third category is the ultraterrestrial hypothesis, which includes the "cryptoterrestrial" hypothesis. This posits that UAP might be activities of intelligent beings hidden on Earth, potentially underground, on the Moon or even among us disguised as humans.

The scientists propose four theories about the origins or identities of these beings:

1. They might be remnants of an advanced ancient human civilization that was largely destroyed by natural disasters long ago.

2. They could be a technologically advanced non-human civilization, possibly a species that evolved to live in stealth, such as underground, including a hominid or descendants of intelligent dinosaurs.

3. They might be beings from other planets or the human future who have hidden their existence on Earth.

4. They could be of "magical" origin, known in European folklore as fairies, elves, nymphs, etc.

The paper claims that if another intelligent species inhabited Earth (or Mars) long before Homo sapiens, we might have no knowledge of it.

The researchers suggest these cryptoterrestrials may live in secret bases located underground, underwater or on the Moon. They hypothesize that frequent UFO sightings near volcanoes and lakes could indicate entry or exit points for these hidden societies.

"While this notion may sound unlikely on first hearing, many observers are persuaded that it is at least conceivable, not least because whole swathes of our planet remain virtually unexplored and uncharted."

The paper highlights the "Alaskan Triangle" as a region of particular interest, with over 20,000 unexplained disappearances since the 1970s and numerous UAP sightings and other odd phenomena, sparking speculation about hidden alien societies.

Regarding governmental response to alleged UFO sightings, the scientists note that many believers suspect the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) is downplaying the topic and concealing the extraordinary nature of many UAP-related events.

A recent report by The Hill mentioned that in late 2023, career intelligence official David Grusch alleged that the U.S. government is hiding its UFO research programs from the public, a claim the government has repeatedly denied.
