Man accused of shooting victim along Hawaii sidewalk during an argument, police say
A man turned himself in after police said he shot and killed another person during an argument in Hawaii.
Around 10 p.m. on March 19, Justice Manumalo Kaio got into an argument with a 20-year-old victim, according to Honolulu police. The argument happened on the sidewalk near Kalakaua Avenue and Lewers Street.
Kaio took out a firearm and shot the victim, police said. He then fled the area.
The victim, whose name has not been released, was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
Investigators said the suspect and victim knew each other, but they did not say what led to the argument.
The next day, Kaio turned himself in to police, and he was charged with murder.
