A Tennessee School Nurse Covertly Collected Images Of Girls, Women In Hospital Rooms, Airports And Tanning Beds. He’ll Now Spend Decades Behind Bars.
A former Tennessee school nurse must serve over 24 years behind bars on child pornography charges after he used a hidden camera to capture illicit images of minors, federal prosecutors announced.
Leon B. Hensley, 42, was sentenced on April 3, nearly two years after he was arrested. Hensley was investigated after authorities learned he texted a photo of a nude woman to a minor girl in Clarksville and then requested the child pose in photos for him.
“The investigation, including a search of Hensley’s phone led to the discovery of nude images which were later identified as minor female students at [Northeast High School],” where he was employed, prosecutors said.
Investigators searched the defendant’s home and seized a covert video camera and other electronic devices. According to prosecutors, “The devices also contained image files depicting unidentified females in hospital rooms, airports, and tanning beds, plus video files that appeared to be upskirt videos of adult and minor females.”
In June 2022, Henlsey was charged with 25 counts of attempting to produce child pornography and enticing or coercing a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing child pornography. That September, he pleaded guilty to all charges against him.
