HIV-Positive Youth Baseball Coach in Oklahoma Accused of Raping Young Girl Multiple Times: Court Documents

A youth baseball coach in Oklahoma has been arrested after a young girl’s mother allegedly walked in on him sexually assaulting the underage victim, authorities said.
On the night of Jan. 13, Donovan Sheppard, 39, allegedly got into a fight with someone at a bar and the woman he lived with had to pick him up, according to court documents obtained by KFOR-TV.
After the pair returned home, the woman allegedly found him sexually assaulting a girl who was asleep in a different room, officials said.
The woman called police, and when officers arrived, she was pointing a gun at Sheppard, the documents show.
Sheppard allegedly told the woman he was HIV-positive, authorities said.
While speaking with police, the alleged victim said Sheppard had raped her six times, including on her birthday.
According to court documents, the girl also claimed to a forensic interviewer, “He raped me."
Sheppard was arrested and charged with two counts of lewd molestation, one count of rape by instrumentation, three counts of first-degree rape where the victim is under 14 years of age, one count of exposing other to AIDS, and one count of pattern of criminal offenses.

He was booked into the Cleveland County Jail and was being held on a $500,000 bond.
KFOR-TV reported that Sheppard is a well-known youth baseball coach for a team called the Oklahoma Aftermath.
