A shooting inside a Florida hotel bathroom left one man dead and another injured, as police say two suspects have been arrested in connection to the case.
Around 10 p.m. Sept. 4, a shooting took place inside the bathroom of the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront, police said.
One of the victims got away and police said they found him on the ground about a block away.
Both victims were taken to the hospital and rushed into surgery, but one of the victims later died, police said. The victim in the case has not been identified.
According to authorities, a private party was taking place inside Morton’s Steakhouse at the hotel, but they did not know if those involved in the shootings were with that party, News 4 JAX reported.
Police said their suspect was 29-year-old Cory Hall, who turned himself in to police on Sept. 8. Investigators did not reveal how they tied Hall to the case.
He was charged with second-degree murder, as well as second-degree attempted murder and was booked into the Duval County Jail on a $1.5 million bond, authorities said.
In addition to Hall, 26-year-old Paige Gallon was arrested on Sept. 7 in connection to the shootings and charged with accessory after the fact, police said.
He was booked into Duval County Jail and is being held with no bond, News 4 JAX reported.
