Child found 'fake sleeping' next to murdered mom in Houston, suspect arrested
A child was found “fake sleeping” next to her murdered mom, and police said they arrested the suspected killer, according to a report.
The woman was killed in a shooting at a Houston apartment complex around 4:15 a.m. on Feb. 4, according to KPRC.
Brittany Brown, 33, is accused of shooting and killing Erika Hall at the apartment, according to KPRC.
Hall was found with multiple gunshot wounds and with her daughter, who police believe to be between 12 and 14 years old, the report noted. The child was “fake sleeping” next to her mom when found by police after the murder.
Investigators have not released a motive for the killing.
Brown was charged with murder. She is being held in the Harris County jail on $200,000 bond, according to KPRC.
