A man tried to flee with his infant after being shot at a Texas convenience store but crashed and died. Now, the man police say pulled the trigger has been charged with murder.
Last week, police in Houston announced the arrest of Grayson McGowan, 31, in connection to the killing of Timothy George, 31.
Around 1 p.m. on July 10, George was at a convenience store on Hillcroft Avenue when a suspect started shooting at him, police said. George had an infant in his car and tried to drive away after being shot.
He lost control of the vehicle and crashed, police said.
George was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police noted. The infant was not hurt.
Police identified McGowan as the suspect and he was arrested.
