‘They’re All Dead’: Idaho Man ‘Snapped,’ Killed Family of Four After Teen Allegedly Exposed Himself to Children
Dec. 21 2023, Updated 9:54 a.m. ET
An Idaho man has pleaded guilty to killing a family of four that lived downstairs from him because he was “concerned for his children,” according to authorities.
Around 7:30 p.m. on June 18, officers were called to a home in Kellogg, where they found four victims who had been fatally shot, the Shoshone News-Press reported.
The victims, Kenneth Guardipee, 65, Kenna Guardipee, 41, Devin Smith, 18, and 16-year-old Aiken Smith, lived on the ground floor of an apartment building and 32-year-old Majorjon Kaylor and his family lived above them, court documents show. Kenneth was Kenna’s father and Devin and Aiken were Kenna's two children.
Kaylor called 911 after he shot all four members of the Guardipee-Smith family. “This is Majorjon Kaylor," he says in the call obtained by Inside Edition. "I just went downstairs and executed a f****** pedophile and his family.”
The dispatcher asks if Kaylor shot someone, and he replies, “I shot four people, they’re all dead.”
Days prior to the shooting, officials said, Kaylor’s wife, Kaylie, alleged on Facebook that Devin Smith “exposed himself, was shaking his penis and masturbating through a window in front of her and her juvenile daughters."
While speaking with investigators, Kaylor said Devin Smith “had been acting suspicious, watching his kids and conducted acts of nudity in front of his children," and he called the teenager a “pedophile.”
Kaylor reportedly tried speaking to Kenna and Kenneth about the teen’s alleged actions, but they “didn’t seem to take his concerns with Devin Smith seriously,” authorities said.

According to investigators, Kaylor said he “snapped” and “did something about it.” Officials said all four victims suffered gunshot wounds to the head. Kenna, Kenneth and Aiken were shot once, but Devin “had been shot multiple times from close range.”
Kaylor was arrested and initially charged with four counts of first-degree murder and one count of burglary.
On Dec. 18, he pleaded guilty to four counts of second-degree murder after prosecutors and Kaylor’s attorneys reached a plea agreement.
The defendant faces up to life in prison when he is sentenced on March 25, 2024, officials said.
