Attempted robbery ends with woman being killed, three Illinois men accused of murder

A home invasion in Illinois turned into a shooting that left a 46-year-old woman dead. Now, police say three men have been arrested in connection to her murder.
On Oct. 8, 2020, officers responded to a Rockford, Illinois, hospital for an investigation involving a gunshot victim, according to authorities.
The victim was a 46-year-old female and she later died from her gunshot wounds, police said.
Officials determined the shooting was the result of a robbery attempt at a home in Rockford, WIFR reported.
The suspects were identified as 30-year-old Nakeithian Johnson, 40-year-old Dory Love and 28-year-old Brandon Taylor.
Police say charges have officially been filed against the three men, as all three men are charged with first-degree murder. Johnson also faces home invasion and aggravated battery charges.
Officials said Johnson and Love were in custody already for unrelated charges and Taylor was arrested on Jan. 31, police said.
