3-Month-Old Baby Starved To Death, Now Two Adults Are Accused Of Murder
A 3-month-old baby died due to starvation and now two adults face charges, police said.
In February 2022, deputies with the Warrick County Sheriff’s Office in Indiana responded to a home for an unresponsive infant.
First responders declared the infant dead at the scene, according to the sheriff’s office.

Investigators gathered evidence and last week arrested two adults in connection to the incident. Sheriff Michael Wilder told WFIE that the baby died of starvation. The child was just shy of turning 3-months-old.
Deputies charged Caylin Opal Marie Monroe, 23, and Jakob Chance Scott, 22, with murder and neglect of a dependent resulting in death. Authorities did not detail the relationship between the two adults and the victim.
They are both being held in Warrick County Jail without bond.
