Man uses sword to attack three people in an Indiana home, killing two: police
A man used a sword to attack three people, killing two, police said.
Around 6:40 p.m. on Feb. 6, police in Marion, Indiana, responded to a home and saw a man yelling for an officer. The home was a “sleeping room” house with nine units, according to Marion police.
Police say they are unsure what led to the dispute as the suspect did not speak with officers.
But investigators say Johnathon Dischner used a long sword to attack three people. Michael Sandlin, 34, was found dead in one room. Dennis Johnson, 62, was found dead in another room.
The house’s owner, Jocelyn Dube, 65, had multiple cuts and was taken a hospital.
Dischner was still at the scene when police arrived and taken into custody. He was charged with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder. Dischner was booked into Grant County jail after his arrest.
