Armed Indiana Man Forced Woman He Allegedly Robbed to Friend Him on Social Media; Then, He Messaged Her to ‘Come Chill,’ She Claims

An armed robber in Indianapolis took $100 from a woman, but then forced her to add him on Facebook and later asked her out using the social media app, authorities said.
According to WRTV, Amber Beraun went to check her mail after getting home late one night from work recently.
That is when the suspect, later identified as Damien Boyce, allegedly approached her. “He took (the gun) out of his pocket to show me what was going on — let me into your house," Beraun claimed, adding, "I did not do that."
Boyce is accused of taking the $100 cash Beraun had on her and then pointing a gun at her and telling her to friend him on Facebook, WRTV reported.
“I thought if maybe I added him on Facebook, he would leave and he did,” Beraun told WRTV.
Boyce didn’t let the situation end there though, said Beraun, who claimed he messaged her, allegedly writing: “Damn you was too pretty to rob.”
He also allegedly told her he would pay her back and asked Beraun to “come chill,” WRTV reported.
The date never happened and Boyce remained a free man until June 12, when Indianapolis Police arrested him after he allegedly shot two people in another armed robbery and hit another over the head with a brick, officials said.
On June 12, Boyce and the victims got into an argument, but then a SWAT team became involved after Boyce barricaded himself, the New York Post reported.

Boyce surrendered once the SWAT team was on scene, officials said. He was arrested and charged with multiple counts, including burglary, unlawful possession of a weapon, criminal recklessness, and battery, court records show.
On June 21, charges for the armed robbery of Beraun were added, but it’s not clear when she made a report of the incident.
