Man Found Shot To Death Along Indiana Street, Police Arrest Suspect
A man faces murder charges in connection to a fatal shooting in Indiana last week, authorities announced.
Around 8:30 p.m. on April 15, police in South Bend, Indiana, responded to Leland Avenue for a report of shots fired.
When officers arrived, they found Jamal Smith, 35, suffering from gunshot wounds, according to South Bend police. Smith later died from his injuries.
Detectives investigated and named Ralph Richardson Jr., 28, as a suspect. Though police did not detail how they tied him to the case or what the possible motive was in the alleged shooting.
He was arrested on April 14 and charged with murder.
Richardson is being held in the St. Joseph County jail in Michigan without bond.
