An Indiana man's night was bad enough after he drove his truck into a swampy area. Then it got worse when he was found to be drunk, according to police.
Christopher Brauneker, of Argos, Indiana, was arrested after police were called to 13th Road, just west of U.S. 31 around 2:45 a.m. Jan. 15 for a single-vehicle crash.
When police got there, they found a truck half submerged in the water. Officers helped get Brauneker out of his truck. They then gave him field sobriety tests that confirmed that he was driving under the influence of alcohol.
A blood draw determined that Brauneker's blood alcohol level was more than three times over Indiana's state legal limit.
Police took Brauneker to the Marshall County jail, where he was charged with operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol level of .15 or more and driving while suspended, according to WSBT.
