Nearly a year after a woman was murdered in Indiana, police say they arrested her suspected killer.
On Nov. 10, 2021, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department in Indiana responded to a 911 call saying Lisha Branum, 58, was found dead in her home. She died from a gunshot wound, according to the sheriff’s department.
Investigators spent months interviewing witnesses and identified Brady A. Parrish, 25, as a suspect.
But sheriff’s officials have not released a possible motive or said the relationship between the victim and suspect.
Parrish was found in Missouri in late August, according to the sheriff’s department. He was brought back to Indiana in recent days and now faces a murder charge.
"This case is an example of excellent and diligent police work, leading to the identification and arrest of a suspect," said Sheriff Rick Meyer. "It has been a lengthy and complex investigation and our officers deserve all the credit for their hard work."
