Man Arrested After Mother Of His Infant Found Dead In Georgia, Police Say
The U.S. Marshal’s Service recently apprehended a man in Texas who is accused of killing his infant’s mother in Georgia, authorities announced.
Roberto Andablo Gaona, 31, was recently taken into custody in McCallen, Texas, and charged with murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during a crime, ValleyCentral.com reported.
According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Gaona was identified as a suspect after 22-year-old Yessica Baena Torres, the mother of his baby, was found murdered in a vehicle in Brooks County, Georgia, shortly before noon on May 1.
Autopsy results were pending.
A warrant was issued for Gaona’s arrest, and he was located and arrested in Texas days later.
He was expected to be extradited to Georgia as the investigation continues.
