Indiana Man Arrested In Connection With 3-Month-Old Infant’s Death Last Summer
An Indiana man is behind bars after he was accused of the summertime death of a 3-month-old baby, authorities said.
Darren Scott Corbett, 32, of North Liberty, was arrested this month and faces charges of murder, aggravated battery resulting in death, and neglect of a dependent resulting in death, WNDU reported.
In July 2022, emergency responders were called to a home in Wakerton after receiving a report of an infant who wasn’t breathing.
Lifesaving efforts failed, and the baby, identified as Wrensley Swihart, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police opened an investigation into the incident, and an autopsy determined Swihart’s death was a homicide caused by blunt force trauma to the head.
Corbett was booked into the Fulton County Detention Center without bond.
