A woman in Florida was fatally shot by her ex-boyfriend while she was on a call with her friends, according to authorities.
Around 9:45 p.m. on March 6, Kelvi McCray, 18, was sitting, eating dinner and FaceTiming with three friends in West Palm Beach when her ex, 19-year-old Keisean Shaw, entered the home and shot her before then shooting himself, according to a police report obtained by WPTV.
Because McCray was on FaceTime with friends, one of the three was able to give cops a quick identification of the shooter.
In one 911 call, the victim's mother said, “Her boyfriend came in and shot her, my baby dead.”
Responding officers located the suspected shooter slumped against a wall in the living room with a single gunshot wound to the head. McCray was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the head, neck and back.
Both McCray and Shaw reportedly were still clinging to life when officers arrived to the grisly scene. The pair were rushed to a nearby hospital, where McCray died later that night and Shaw the next day, officials said.
Before he died, Shaw was charged with first-degree murder.
According to WPEC, Shaw was wanted on warrants for aggravated assault with a firearm and domestic battery by strangulation at the time of the shooting. A detective said the night before the killing took place, Shaw allegedly pointed his gun at McCray.

West Palm Beach Police spokesperson Mike Jachles told the news outlet, “We had him at Gaines Park, he then fled, took off, led us on a chase for almost five miles. We had to terminate that chase because it was just unsafe. He was on our radar.”
Officials said McCray and Shaw recently broke up, but they still lived together in the same house because “he had nowhere else to stay.”
The former couple had known each other for five years and had been dating for over a year when McCray ended the relationship.
