A man in Iowa faces numerous charges after he set fire to a home killing countless animals, police said.
Last week, police in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, announced the arrest of Jonathan Jay Ramey, 47.
He was charged with second-degree arson and 15 counts of animal cruelty causing serious injury or death.
Police say Ramey set fire to a home in Cedar Rapids on Oct. 1. Investigators did not say why Ramey allegedly started the fire or who owned the home.
Four ducks, three rabbits, two geese, two dogs, two fish, a cat and a snake all died in the blaze, police said.
Ramey was identified as the suspect and arrested. He was then booked into an Iowa jail.
