Iowa Man Accused Of Shooting Brother To Death, But Cops Haven't Said Why
A 66-year-old man in Iowa faces a murder charge after a shooting left his brother dead, officials said.
Around 4:30 p.m. on April 9, deputies from the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office in Iowa responded to a home after a man had been shot.
First responders found the victim with a gunshot wound to the chest, according to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation. The victim was identified as Anthony Hinners, 59.
Crews tried to provide lifesaving care, but Hinners was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies and state agents investigated and that led them to arrest Michael Hinners, 66. The victim and suspects are brothers.
Michael Hinners was charged with first-degree murder. Though, investigators have not said what led to the alleged murder.
Michael Hinners is being held in the Carroll County jail.
