A man faces charges after his wife was found shot to death, police said. So far, though, he hasn’t been accused of murder.
On Oct. 9, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office in Iowa took Christopher Prichard into custody, authorities said.
Around 7:50 a.m. on Oct. 8, deputies responded to a home in Bellevue, Iowa. When they arrived, authorities found Angela Prichard, 55, dead from a gunshot wound.
Police identified her husband, Christopher Prichard, as the suspect and asked for the public’s help finding him. He was then arrested the next day.
Authorities did not release a motive in the shooting.
He has not been charged with murder, instead he faces charges of violation of a protective order. An autopsy is pending in the case.
