'Cheer' star Jerry Harris pleads guilty in child pornography case
One of the stars of the Netflix show “Cheer” pleaded guilty to child porn charges and now faces decades behind bars.
Jerry Harris, 23, pleaded guilty during a federal court hearing on Feb. 10 in the case and will be sentenced at a later date. He faces up to 50 years in prison.
Harris rose to fame as a cheerleader on the Navarro Community College team that was featured on the streaming service’s popular show.
However, in September 2020, Harris was charged by federal investigators in connection to a child porn investigation. The victims detailed how Harris messaged them on social media apps and then met them at a cheer event.
One victim claimed he met Harris in a bathroom and the adult tried to convince him to have oral sex.
