New Jersey Man Who Refused To Let His Brother Into Home Arrested For Murdering Their Father, Authorities Say
Police on the Jersey Shore found a man dead after one of his two sons refused to let the other into their home, prosecutors said.
On Sept. 7, authorities in Ocean County charged Justin Donaldson, 36, with the murder of his 67-year-old father, David Donaldson.
According to prosecutors, around 4:35 p.m. that day, officers from the Lacey Township Police Department responded to a residence after a man called and said he was attempting to check on his father, David Donaldson, and brother, Justin Donaldson.
“Justin Donaldson would not let the family member in the residence,” prosecutors said.
Police made entry into the home and discovered the father dead with apparent trauma to his face.
Justin Donaldson was identified as a suspect in the case, and he was taken into custody at the scene without incident, prosecutors said.
He was being held at the Ocean County jail.
Police have not disclosed a motive for the slaying.
