Police were initially investigating a murder where a suspect robbed a man and his wife, then fatally shot the woman. But now police say her husband was the one who killed her.
This week, police in Kansas arrested Cameron Lawson in connection to the murder of his wife Enfinnity Hayes.
She was shot and killed in October at Milford State Park in Geary County, Kansas, according to media reports.
Police started to investigate after Hayes was killed. At that time, they were told a man demanded money from Hayes and her husband before shooting and then shot her. The suspect then fled the area, according to KSNT.
The shooting happened near Fort Riley Army base and the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division offered a $25,000 reward.
But this week, police said they arrested Lawson on a first-degree murder charge, according to KMAN radio. Authorities did not offer further details on the case.
